Touch is vital to the mother's psychological and physical well being as she adapts to a changing body. Massage provides a nurturing touch which, in turn, nurtures the life of the unborn child.
Reiki is incorporated into all massage sessions and is available separately The positive effects of Reiki can be extended to pregnant women as well as the unborn baby. Using a combination of meditating on symbols, crystal grids and hand positions to allow you to harness and concentrate on the energies surrounding you and baby.
Reiki is the practice of sending universal energies for healing purposes to you the client. Reiki is administered by a Reiki Master-Teacher who has been traditionally certified by another Reiki Master-Teacher.
There are seven different chakras that are usually focused on. The crown chakra, the root chakra, the solar plexus, the heart, the throat and the brow or third eye chakra are commonly used in Reiki.
Reiki is used during the first stages of pregnancy to relieve the stress and illness that the mother is feeling. Morning sickness and the stress of the body changing can be harmful to the mother's aura. Reiki can restore your balance and health.
Common chakras concentrated on during this time are the third eye chakra and the solar plexus chakra, as well as the Sacral Chakra. These chakras correspond to the head, abdomen and reproductive organs, respectively.
Reiki is safe to use during all stages of pregnancy from conception to childbirth. During pregnancy, tests conducted at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut shows that Reiki used during pregnancy reduced anxiety by 94 percent, nausea by 80 percent, pain by 78 percent and improved sleep by 86 percent. Our mission is to promote nurturing touch through training, education so that babies and parents can bond with eachother.
We teach a gentle and loving baby massage that has many benefits for both parents and children. The relationship between a parent and baby is enhanced and strengthened through the nurturing touch of infant massage. Parent’s often find that their baby sleeps better, fusses less, and gains more weight, when massaged regularly. Basically the massage flows from the head to the toes.
