Research has shown that there is no better food than breast milk for a baby’s first year of life. Breastfeeding provides many healthy, nutritional, economical and emotional benefits to you and your baby. Since a major goal of the our Breast Feeding Educator is to improve the nutritional status of infants, we encourage mothers to breastfeed their infants. They will assist you in all areas including but not limited to:

Latching-on
Positioning problems
Sore, cracked nipples

Basic breastfeeding education

Engorgement

Blocked ducts and mastitis

Coping with the new experience of breast feeding
Slow weight gain of baby
Increasing breastmilk supply
Overactive letdown , too much milk
Thrush/Candida
Tongue tie and breastfeeding
Expressing for a preterm baby in NICU and breastfeeding a preterm baby at home

Infant / Child Education Support

We do more than just pass on information to expectant parents.They are there to   make sure you understand how to make informed choices, how to have a plan in place for tackling unexpected situations and teach you   informed decision making and assertiveness skills. They cover all areas of Infant / Child   Care including but not limited to:

Diapering

Swaddling

Bathing  

Circumcision care

Breastfeeding support

Umbilical cord care

Preparing / Sterilization of bottles

Soothing

Manicuring

Laundering baby clothes

Diaper rash

Burping

Sibling interaction

Organizing and much more.
