1.How does Maternal Bliss screen their Doula's / Specialist's/ Support and Educator's?
At Maternal Bliss we know that the safety of your family and home is your top priority so we take security very seriously. Each of our team members have completed a rigorous screening process. Screening and background check includes: a personal interview, reference check, fingerprinting, health and safety orientation, criminal history, Certification Training. We have confirmed recent training and work experience as well as personal qualifications. We verify all training and continuing education certifications including active CPR certification. Additionally, we perform background checks and arrange to have each candidate’s fingerprints registered with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) (www.fdle.state.fl.us/BackgroundChecks)
This is a Local, State and National Background check through the National Child Protection Act (NCPA) (1993) as amended, and Florida Statute 943.0542 (1999).
2.When should I begin a Support Specialist?
It's never too early to start your search for a qualified, trustworthy support specialist . Allow up to 2-3 months prior to your anticipated delivery date to begin the selection process. However, don't hesitate to call us if you have an immediate need. We have & will accommodate families on short notice.
3.What is the typical work schedule for a Doula / Newborn Care / Support Educator Specialist?
Specialists shifts are customized to fit your needs. We also offer overnight, weekend and travel arrangements. If you are requesting Education or Breasrfeeding Support this can be offered individually or in group classes.
4.Are the Doula and Education packages limited to only the services listed in each package?
No, service packages include what is listed but are not limited to just that. Each package contains a list of areas that your Doula or Specialist will cover during their time with you and if there is anything else that you would like that pertains to your circumstance we will be happy to include this.
5.What is the typical salary range for a Doula / Newborn / Educator Specialist?
The average salary range for a Doula / Specialist / Support Educator varies. Salaries for multiples typically include a premium rate per hour/shift. For more information & rates please contact our office.
6.What fees can I expect?
There is a $75.00 consultation fee. Once you hire a Specialist the $75.00 consultation fee will be applied to your package. A 30%-50% deposit for the total contract amount of any & all service packages is due prior to the start date or on the 1st day of contract assignment. This deposit confirms your selected Specialist for services requested.
